What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a modern alternative to braces, using clear and flexible plastic to comfortably move misaligned teeth into their correct position. Invisalign is removable, so you can eat your favorite foods and brush your teeth easily while still getting a straightened and corrected smile!

Most of our Invisalign wearers achieve their smile-restoring goals within 6 to 24 months of receiving their Invisalign. Invisalign is best for patients with mild-to-moderate teeth misalignments or improper bites. Patients who are screened with more serious smile imperfections will be referred to local orthodontists by Dr. Dang.

Your Invisalign treatment timeline:

1     Dr. Dang takes 3D scans of your teeth with digital X-rays, as well as photos using our intraoral camera technology. From there, the information is forwarded to the Invisalign lab!

2     At the Invisalign lab, your aligners will be custom designed with computer-aided precision to ensure maximum performance and comfort. Dr. Tien Dang and the orthodontists at the Invisalign lab are in close communication to carefully craft and formulate the best course of action for your smile restoration. Once your custom-made Invisalign trays are ready, we’ll call you to come and pick them up!

3     Once you have received your Invisalign, you should wear them between 20 and 22 hours each day, including while you are asleep. You should only remove your Invisalign to brush your teeth, floss your teeth, or eat. Our patients at Studio Dental typically require between 6 and 24 months to complete Invisalign treatment, but this may be extended if a patient fails to follow upkeep guidelines.

4     After the initial correctional period, Dr. Dang may suggest wearing a retainer during sleep so that optimal smile restoration can be achieved!

Our Invisalign treatment has helped many in the Richmond area with straightening their teeth and correcting discrepancies that can lead to future complications. Reach out today and start your journey towards a new and improved smile!
